Our packing extractor tools are designed for efficient removal of worn, compressed or hardened packing from pumps, valves and stuffing boxes during maintenance and repacking.

Available in both flexible and solid shaft configurations, the range covers packing spaces from 1/8" through to 1" and above. Flexible shaft extractors are designed to reach into deep stuffing boxes and confined spaces, while solid shaft extractors are particularly suited to valve stem packing and packing that tends to break apart during removal.

Flexible Shaft Packing Extractors

Flexible shaft extractors provide access into deeper or restricted packing glands and are available in six sizes to suit different packing spaces. Depending on the extractor selected, corkscrew or woodscrew-style tips are available for different packing conditions.

• Corkscrew tip: Suitable for extracting fibrous packing
• Woodscrew tip: Suitable for packing that has become particularly hard or compressed
• Available for packing spaces from 1/4" up to 1" and larger
• Overall lengths from 7 1/2" to 30" for different gland depths and access requirements

Solid Shaft Packing Extractors

Solid shaft extractors are designed for smaller packing spaces and are particularly useful for removing valve stem packing or packing that tends to break apart easily. All three sizes have an overall length of 10".
