    RTV106 Red High Temperature Silicone Sealant
    Industrial Grade Silicone Adhesive & Sealant Rated to 260°C Continuous

    RTV106 is a one-part acetoxy cure silicone sealant supplied in convenient 300g cartridges for high-temperature sealing, bonding and insulation applications. It cures to a flexible rubber seal that resists heat, moisture, weathering, vibration and UV exposure.

    Suitable for industrial, electrical and maintenance applications, RTV106 provides primerless adhesion to aluminium, stainless steel, glass, ceramics and many plastics.

    ▼ Application Instructions

    For best results, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from oil, grease, dust and other contaminants before application.

    1. Cut the nozzle to the required bead size.
    2. Apply a continuous bead of RTV106 to the prepared surface.
    3. Tool or smooth the sealant within approximately 10 minutes of application.
    4. Allow the sealant to skin over in approximately 20 minutes.
    5. Allow approximately 24 hours for full cure under normal conditions.
    6. Maximum bond strength is typically achieved after approximately 7 days.

    Actual cure times may vary depending on bead thickness, temperature and humidity.

    ▼ Limitations & Important Notes

    RTV106 is suitable for a wide range of industrial sealing and bonding applications; however, the following limitations should be considered:

    • Not paintable – most paints will not adhere to cured silicone.
    • May corrode copper, brass and other sensitive metals due to its acetoxy cure chemistry.
    • Not recommended for below-waterline applications.
    • Not suitable for use on concrete, masonry or mortar.
    • Store below 25°C and use within 12 months of manufacture where possible.
