    BOILER & STEAM INSULATION

Steam Pipe Lagging & Insulation – High-Temperature Protection
Durable Thermal Solutions for Industrial Steam Systems

Our Steam Pipe Lagging is engineered to deliver long-lasting thermal and acoustic insulation in high-temperature environments. Designed for use on steam lines, turbines, boilers, and industrial HVAC systems, this lagging withstands continuous exposure up to 650°C while offering moisture protection and acoustic dampening.

    Key Features:

    • Temperature Resistance: Operates reliably up to 650°C—ideal for insulating steam pipelines, high-pressure pipe systems, and surrounding boiler equipment.
    • Foil-Faced Acoustic Barrier: Reinforced aluminium foil facing reflects radiant heat and minimises sound transmission (foil rated to 80°C).
    • Moisture Resistant: Water-repellent surface resists moisture ingress in humid or exposed mechanical spaces.
    • Standard Sizes: Supplied in 1000 mm lengths. Available wall thicknesses range from 25 mm to 100 mm. Compatible with BS and ASTM pipe diameters.
    • Certified Performance: Nominal density 115 kg/m³. Complies with ASTM C612-93 and ASTM C547-03 Type 1 standards.

    Typical Applications:

    • Steam pipelines and high-pressure process lines
    • Boilers, turbines, and steam traps
    • Industrial HVAC and mechanical rooms
    • Acoustic insulation for high-temperature systems

For superior thermal control and noise reduction in steam-heavy environments, choose our Steam Pipe Lagging—trusted by facilities engineers and boiler service professionals.

    Outdoor Protective Finishes

Weather Protection for External Pipe Lagging

When pipe insulation is installed outdoors, it must be protected from UV, moisture and mechanical damage. Standard foil facings are generally suitable for indoor applications only. For external pipework we typically recommend:

    • Silvercladd 350 Jacketing — a tough, foil-based outdoor wrap with high puncture and tear resistance, providing a cost-effective weatherproof finish over the lagging.
    • Metal cladding — for maximum durability and mechanical protection. Available in galvanised, Colorbond, aluminium or stainless steel and quoted on request.

If you require pricing for Silvercladd 350 or metal cladding, please choose the option that the pipes are outdoors when submitting your quote request.
