    Selection guide

    Choosing the Right Industrial Thermometer

Industrial thermometer selection depends on the installation position, temperature range, stem or capillary length, process conditions and whether the thermometer needs to be read locally or remotely.

    Mounting Style
Choose adjustable angle, bottom connect, back connect or remote reading depending on visibility, access and installation position.
    Stem or Capillary Length
Stem length affects how far the sensing point reaches into the process. Remote reading models use capillary length to position the dial away from the sensing point.
    Temperature Range
Select a range that covers the normal operating temperature without making the scale too broad to read accurately.
    Thermowells
Thermowells help protect the sensing stem and allow thermometer removal without opening the process line or losing media.
    Vibration & Harsh Conditions
Glycerine-filled cases, stainless construction, armoured capillaries or protective lens options may be suitable for vibration, outdoor or demanding industrial environments.
    Existing Thermometer Matching
