    Handling & Transport Information

Ceramic fibre board should be transported flat and fully supported wherever possible. Avoid bending, flexing, or placing heavy items on unsupported areas, as this may cause cracking, corner damage, or breakage. Minor edge or corner damage can occur during handling and transport and does not normally affect the thermal or electrical insulation performance of the board.
    HIGH TEMPERATURE BOARDS

    Ceramic Fibre Board
Rigid High-Temperature Insulation Board for Thermal Protection, Back-Up Insulation & Fabricated Components

Ceramic fibre board is a rigid high-temperature insulation board used in furnaces, kilns, thermal barriers, heat shields and fabricated insulation components. It offers low thermal conductivity, thermal shock resistance and can be cut, drilled or machined to suit industrial applications.

    Key Features

    • High-temperature performance — commonly available in 1260 °C and 1400 °C classifications
    • Low thermal conductivity — helps reduce heat loss in furnaces, kilns and process equipment
    • Rigid yet workable — can be cut, drilled or machined
    • Thermal shock resistance — suitable for fluctuating temperature environments
    • Lightweight insulation solution — strong thermal performance without dense refractory weight

    Common Applications

    • Furnace and kiln linings
    • Back-up insulation
    • Heat shields and thermal barriers
    • Combustion chambers and ducts
    • Machined insulation components

Board density, thermal conductivity and sheet formats may vary between manufacturers. We will match the most suitable board to your application and temperature requirements.

    Freight Information

If freight is required, this product is shipped securely on pallets to protect it during transport.

Delivery can be arranged to a local freight depot for convenient customer collection — a common and straightforward option.

If delivering directly to site, forklift access is typically required to unload the pallet. Full delivery options will be provided at quote stage.

    Before Requesting a Quote

It is helpful to have the required thickness and approximate quantity available before requesting a quote.

Not sure how much material you need? Use the Ceramic Fibre Board Quote Helper below to estimate the area, board quantity or carton quantity required for your project.

    Ceramic Fibre Board Quote Helper

Estimate what to enter in the quote form

Select the required thickness, then enter your approximate area or calculate the area from surface dimensions. The result will guide you on what quantity to enter in the quote form.

Important: Estimates are based on 1000 × 600 mm sheets to help allow for sufficient coverage. Final quantities will be confirmed at quote stage based on grade, thickness, supplier availability and current stock.
    Compare High Temperature Boards

Is Ceramic Fibre Board the right option?

Ceramic Fibre Board is best suited for lightweight insulation in very high-temperature and thermal shock environments. If you need a more rigid board, a machinable insulation board, or improved handling characteristics, one of the alternatives below may be more suitable.

Product Best For Temperature Rating Handling / Structure
Ceramic Fibre Board Lightweight insulation for very high temperatures and thermal shock environments 1260°C+ Lightweight and fragile — transport flat
Superwool Plus Board Advanced lightweight insulation with improved handling characteristics 1200°C classification / 1000°C continuous Lightweight board with improved handling characteristics
Calcium Silicate Board Rigid structural insulation for general high-temperature applications 1100°C Rigid board — transport flat
Millboard Machined parts, gaskets, heat shields and electrical insulation Up to 850°C for primary stocked grade Machinable board — transport flat

Considering Ceramic Fibre Board? Superwool Plus Board may be suitable where improved handling characteristics are preferred. For rigid structural insulation, see Calcium Silicate Board.
