    HIGH TEMPERATURE BOARDS

    Ceramic Fibre Board
Rigid High-Temperature Insulation Board for Thermal Protection, Back-Up Insulation & Fabricated Components

Our ceramic fibre board range includes rigid insulation boards supplied from approved manufacturers depending on the required temperature grade, thickness, sheet size, and current availability. These boards are designed for demanding thermal applications where low thermal conductivity, dimensional stability, and resistance to thermal shock are important.

Ceramic fibre boards are manufactured from refractory ceramic fibres with selected binders to produce a lightweight yet rigid board that can be cut, shaped, or machined for a wide range of industrial uses.

    Key Features

    • High-temperature performance — standard grades typically available in 1260 °C and 1400 °C classifications, subject to supplier availability
    • Low thermal conductivity — helps reduce heat loss in furnaces, kilns, ducts, and process equipment
    • Rigid yet workable — can be cut, drilled, or machined for fabricated insulation parts and lining sections
    • Thermal shock resistance — suitable for applications exposed to fluctuating temperatures
    • Lightweight insulation solution — offers strong thermal performance without the weight of dense refractory materials
    • Multiple board options — sheet size, density, and thickness can vary depending on the selected board type

    Typical Applications

    • Furnace and kiln linings
    • Back-up insulation behind refractory linings
    • Hot face support and thermal barriers
    • Heat shields, baffles, and muffles
    • Rigid high-temperature gaskets and seals
    • Combustion chamber and hot gas duct insulation
    • Machined insulation components

    Availability

    • Common temperature grades: 1260 °C and 1400 °C class boards
    • Common sheet sizes: 1000 × 600 mm, 1000 × 610 mm, and 1250 × 1000 mm, depending on board type and supplier
    • 1260 °C boards – common thicknesses: 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 13 mm, 15 mm, 25 mm, 40 mm and 50 mm
    • 1400 °C boards – available thicknesses: 25 mm only (sold in cartons of 4 boards per carton)
    • Other grades, dimensions, and thicknesses may be available on request, subject to supplier minimum order quantities
    • Quoted supply will be matched to the most suitable available board for your application and required temperature rating

Because ceramic fibre board may be supplied from different approved sources, specific technical data such as density, thermal conductivity, and sheet format can vary between products. If you need a board for a particular operating temperature, fabrication method, or specification, contact us and we’ll match the right option to your requirement.
