    HIGH-TEMPERATURE INSULATION

    Fiberfrax® Variform 110 Castable Insulation
Castable Ceramic Fibre Material – 1100°C Rated

Fiberfrax® Variform 110 is a castable ceramic fibre insulation material composed of Fiberfrax refractory fibres blended with inorganic hydraulic binders. Supplied in 20 kg bags, it is mixed with water on site and applied by casting, pouring, trowelling or ramming to form a rigid, low-density insulating structure. Once set, Variform 110 provides excellent thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, and resistance to thermal shock in high-temperature service environments.

    Key Features:

    • Continuous Service Temperature: Up to 1100°C*
    • Low Thermal Conductivity: Helps reduce heat loss and energy consumption
    • Thermal Shock Resistance: Maintains integrity under heating and cooling cycles
    • Versatile Installation: Can be poured, trowelled, cast or tamped into place
    • Packaging: Supplied as a dry mix in 20 kg bags for convenient handling

    Typical Applications:

    • Lining and repairing furnaces, kilns and ovens
    • Boiler and burner insulation
    • Ladle and trough backing insulation
    • General refractory maintenance and shape casting

For increased surface hardness or abrasion resistance, Variform 110 may be over-coated with Fiberfrax® QF180 refractory coating after curing.
