    Flexible Laminate Sheets

    Glastic FHT Flexible Fibreglass Laminate
High-Temperature Electrical Insulation for Flexible & Formed Components

Glastic FHT is a flexible, glass fibre-reinforced laminate engineered for high-temperature electrical insulation applications. Designed for insulation barriers and formed components, it combines reliable dielectric strength and mechanical integrity with excellent flexibility where rigid laminates are not suitable.

Available as full sheets, cut panels to your required dimensions, or CNC machined components, Glastic FHT offers a practical solution for new equipment, repairs and electrical manufacturing. It maintains excellent performance at elevated temperatures while remaining easy to cut, form and fabricate.

    Product Highlights:

    • Thicknesses Available: 0.8 mm, 1.6 mm
    • Temperature Resistance: 180°C continuous, up to 220°C for short-term exposure (H-Class)
    • Sheet Dimensions: 1220 mm × 1220 mm
    • Supply Options: Full sheets, cut panels or CNC machined parts
    • Colour: Natural / Tan

    Key Benefits:

    • High flexibility for formed and contoured insulation components
    • Reliable dielectric strength for electrical insulation applications
    • Maintains mechanical integrity under continuous thermal exposure
    • Low moisture absorption compared to conventional fibreglass materials
    • Suitable for cutting, forming and light machining operations
    • High CTI (500+) for improved tracking resistance

Glastic FHT is ideal for slot insulation, phase barriers and formed insulation components in motors, transformers and other electrical equipment requiring flexibility combined with elevated temperature performance.

    Available Thicknesses & Sheet Size

Glastic FHT is supplied in full sheets and available in two standard thicknesses. Both grades offer the same high-temperature electrical insulation performance, with the thicker grade providing increased rigidity and mechanical strength.

Thickness Sheet Size Temperature Rating Typical Use
    0.8 mm 1220 × 1220 mm 180°C continuous
    220°C short-term
Formed insulation barriers, curved insulation components and applications requiring maximum flexibility.
    1.6 mm 1220 × 1220 mm 180°C continuous
    220°C short-term
Heavier-duty formed insulation parts requiring increased rigidity and mechanical strength.
    Why Choose Glastic FHT?
Glastic FHT is commonly selected when:
    • A flexible laminate is required but additional mechanical strength is needed
    • Insulation barriers need to be formed, bent or shaped
    • Continuous operating temperatures up to 180°C are expected
    • Low moisture absorption and tracking resistance are important
    • Light machining, cutting or fabrication may be required
    • Traditional polyester laminates do not provide sufficient thermal performance

Looking for a Rigid Insulation Material Instead?

Glastic FHT is designed for flexible and formed insulation components. If your application requires a rigid insulation sheet for machining, structural support or thermal insulation, consider the alternatives below.
