    HIGH-TEMPERATURE ROPE & BRAID

Ceramic Fibre Rope – 1260°C Flexible Thermal Insulation
Compressible Rope Seal for Furnaces, Stoves & Chimneys

Ceramic Fibre Rope is a lightweight, compressible insulation rope engineered for high-temperature sealing and gasketing. Its soft construction allows excellent conformability while providing reliable resistance in extreme heat environments up to 1260°C.

    Key Features

    • Constant temperature rating: continuous service up to 1260°C
    • Melting point: 1760°C
    • Compressibility: 75% for tight, flexible sealing
    • Thermal conductivity: <0.18 W/mK at 1000°C
    • Shrinkage: 3% at 1200°C (24 hrs)
    • Loss on ignition: 18%
    • Density: 250–450 kg/m³

    Available Sizes

    • 12 mm × 50 m roll
    • 20 mm × 30 m roll
    • 25 mm × 30 m roll
    • 30 mm × 30 m roll
    • 40 mm × 30 m roll
    • 50 mm × 15 m roll
    • Colour: white

    Ideal Applications

    • Thermal insulation and gasketing for boilers and heat exchangers
    • Seals for stoves, burners, and chimney doors
    • High-temperature gasketing in kilns and furnace cars
    • General high-heat expansion joint packing

Ceramic Fibre Rope delivers flexibility, compressibility, and reliable thermal resistance, making it an ideal non-asbestos sealing solution for demanding industrial insulation needs.

Water, Steam & Chemical Compatibility Notes

Water and steam resistance: Ceramic fibre rope is highly resistant to water and steam. If it gets wet, it will not rot or degrade. Its thermal and physical insulation properties are restored once completely dried.

Steam damage potential: If saturated rope is exposed to a sudden extreme heat spike, trapped moisture may rapidly convert to steam, which can physically damage or weaken the fibres.

Chemical weaknesses: Avoid exposure to hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and strong alkalis, as these can degrade the fibre structure.
