Dense Braided Rope for Gasketing, Packing & Sealing

Ceramic Fibre Square Braided Rope is a dense, resilient insulation product manufactured from ceramic fibre yarn. It can be reinforced with E-glass, stainless steel wire, or high-temperature alloy wire for enhanced performance in demanding industrial conditions. Containing approximately 18% organic fibre that burns out at high temperatures, it may produce minor out-gassing but does not affect overall performance.

• 1260 Range: max service temperature 1260°C, melting point 1760°C
• Insert temperature limits: stainless steel wire to 1100°C (standard)

Thermal Properties

• Thermal conductivity: <0.18 W/mK at 1000°C
• Shrinkage: 3% after 24 hrs at maximum service temperature

Composition & Structure

• Chemical composition: Al₂O₃ 46% (1260 range) / 28–32% (1430 range); SiO₂ 53% (1260) / 52–56% (1430); ZrO₂ 0% (1260) / 14–18% (1430)
• Fibre diameter: 3–4 microns
• Density: 550–850 kg/m³ (1260 range)
• Colour: white
